Our Joyful Mission

Herbes Folles is a unique weeds-based skincare brand, made to celebrate the potency of weeds. We stand for the ubiquitous, spontaneous beauty all around us. Once regarded as medicine and nourishment, the plants we now name weeds play an important role in our ecosystems and are actually a source of powerful nutrients and antioxidants that we can benefit from.

We create skincare products that deeply nourish the skin...

We believe skincare should be pleasurable, ethical and effective. Our products don't contain palm oil (nor it's derivatives), are cruelty-free and vegan. They are carefully formulated with high quality ingredients to offer protection and balance to the skin: vegetable oils and butters, hydrosols and plant extracts acting in synergy to elevate your natural glow. Our range of products is manufactured in small batches in Belgium, in a laboratory specialized in natural and sustainable cosmetics.

Our brand is NATRUE certified. This label that sets a high standard when it comes to defining the naturalness and sustainability of a cosmetic product. Consequently, you can be sure that no GMOs, synthetic fragrances, artificial preservatives, mineral oils or petrochemicals are in our list of ingredients. All of our suppliers have an active engagement on contributing to a more sustainable planet.

and environmentally & socially engaged.

We are proud members of 1% for the Planet, a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions. Acknowledging that only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment, we chose to participe in the creation of a healthier economy and planet for ALL. For the year of our launch we've chosen to support Trajna, a Slovenian NGO that focuses on developing creative and sustainable solutions for invasive species management.

Our packaging is produced in Europe. We use glass and cardboard as preferred materials, as we consider them more sustainable than plastic. Our labels are tree-free, produced from bagasse - a sugarcane fiber waste product from the sugar industry. Sugarcane is a renewable eco-friendly resource as it reproduces in cycles of less than one year.

We also support The Lemon Tree Trust, an NGO that "supports refugees and communities of forced migrants to create home and community gardens, garden competitions and education projects.

Gardening is a powerful therapeutic tool, addressing issues of isolation and mental health, producing beauty, belonging and improving food security. By providing seeds and plants, Lemon Tree Trust empowers people from the ground up to improve their wellbeing and environment, with a particular focus on women coming together as a community to affect change."
